ABOUT THE PROJECT
Herend is a legendary Hungarian luxury porcelain manufactory, founded in 1826 and renowned worldwide for its entirely hand-painted and gilded hard-paste porcelain, intricate craftsmanship, vibrant floral patterns, and signature fishnet animal figurines. For this project, we designed a new luxury porcelain collection inspired by Renaissance and medieval art, blending two art forms: time-honored medieval painting and the finest porcelain manufacturing.
CHALLENGES FACED
The core challenge was the artful blending of two distinct, demanding art forms: medieval painting and master-level porcelain craftsmanship. Each carries its own visual language and rich history, so merging them meant honoring both without diluting either.
